These are tough times. If you are facing loss of hope, health, or a loved one, this retreat is for you. Are you feeling alone and isolated in your struggle, and just wish your feelings could be validated? This retreat is for you.
At the Courage to Carry On retreat, you will gain the tools to find and keep courage and confidence to carry on through any challenge from a Christian perspective. Our speaker Lori Stanley Roeleveld will reveal how you can access Christ-centered truth to help you in desolate places.
Lori Stanley Roeleveld
Lori Stanley Roeleveld will again be our speaker for the December 11-13, 2020 retreat. She will bring us fresh insights into the tools we need to cope with our tough times and deep sorrows.
Lori has authored three non-fiction books including “Running from a Crazy Man”, Jesus and the Beanstalk”, and “The Art of Hard Conversations”. Though she has degrees in Psychology and Biblical Studies, she learned the most from studying her Bible in life’s trenches.
Here is a summary of the March 2020 retreat sessions.
Following each session, we will offer a short optional interaction time to process the talks:
Session 1: Courage in the Face of Trials
Followed by: A guided time of sharing called, “We Are Here”
Session 2: Confidence that God is Present in Hard Times
Followed by: A guided exercise, “Where We’ve Been"
Session 3: Courage to Speak Our Truth
Followed by: A guided time of story-sharing, “What We Have to Say”
Session 4: Confidence to Move Forward
Followed by: A guided time of group discussion, “Where We’re Going”
